| Scripture In A Second |
| “As you know, we consider blessed are those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.” James 5:11 (NIV) Everyone will experience trials and tribulations. How we handle them and lean upon God determines how well we persevere. We cannot persevere unless there is a trial in our life. Just like we cannot experience victory without a battle or conflict. We realize how blessed we really are after coming through those times of trials. We have a God who truly loves us and helps us through those times. He strengthens us and provides for our “needs” in times of trials. God seems to balance privileges with responsibilities and blessings with burdens. Without this balance, we would become like spoiled pampered children. When we truly reach our limit and finally turn wholehearted to God, we experience how great His love is for us. Perseverance builds patience and allows God to build our character. This perseverance is motivated by the truth of Christ return and eternity with Him. |
